There has been a lot of chatter about the end of the world. Let me assure you that the Mayan’s got it all wrong else they played a big prank. It is after 1pm 21 December here in Australia and it is a bright sunny summer day as any other.
This reminds me of the panic surrounding the Y2K issues at the end of 1999 when we also had a load of media frenzy about nothing.

They were great astronomers but they didn’t predict a time so in theory they have till midnight 21 Dec Central American time… by my calculations another 27 hours or so.
Yes, the show’s not over yet. Spare a thought for that little village in France where thousands of visitors are expected to try to climb up the mountain in the belief that there is a spaceship in there that will save them. I understand the village is surrounded by local police trying to stop the village being overrun by nutters.
Yes. There have been some nutters… I guess there always will be.
